Things to Do in Pocahontas, AR (November 2026)

Pocahontas is the county seat of Randolph County, a hill town on the Black River at the edge of the Ozarks and the Delta. It began as a ferry and river port called Bettis Bluff and was the busiest commercial port in Arkansas in the 1840s, before the railroad arrived. Today its 17-block historic downtown, the old courthouse square and Arkansas' first quilt trail draw visitors, with river access and a frontier-era state park a short drive away.
